Upcoming Products

The products below have been announced. We will keep you updated via this newsletter as we learn more.

This exciting little device is POE-powered mini-AP. While intended to be clipped onto a Ubiquiti POE power supply to add AP functionality inside a customer's house/office, it actually have a number of other applications.

And it will be VERY cheap. (Approx. $30 incl GST is the target price).

As you know, Ubiquiti has fast, great-value routers (See: EdgeRouter).

They also sell a range of POE switches (See: ToughSwitch).

Soon we will have these functions combined into the EdgeRouterPOE.

Ubiquiti has added a new ToughConnector to the range. It has a flying lead with a grounding lug on it. We do not know of a spec sheet yet. All we have is the picture.

Stock is on order.

GbE POE Surge Protector

We now have in stock some surge protectors that

  • Are rated for Gigabit ethernet (GbE)
  • Up to 70V POE
  • With optional weatherproof housing

This makes them suitable for the airFiber, or any other Ubiquiti POE device.

In the airFiber User Guide, Ubiquiti says:

Note: For added protection, we recommend installing two GigE PoE surge protectors. Install the first surge protector within one meter of the airFiber DATA port, and install the second surge protector at the ingress point of the location housing the wired network equipment
