Did you know ...?

200 W EIRP in the 5.725~5825 band

Most WiFi deployments in Australia are covered by a Class License issued by the ACMA . This Class License is free for anyone and allows Effective Radiated Isotropic Power (EIRP) up to 4 Watts (depending on frequency).

But - for fixed, rural, Point-to-Point links, you can apply for a license from the ACMA for a transmitter with an EIRP of 200 W. Note this includes the directional antenna ends of a Point-to-Multipoint network.

RocketDish The Ubiquiti 30 dBi 5 GHz antenna (with 5 degree beam width) would be an ideal choice for such an end point.
