 AirVision - New Version Released

  • added basic mobile support (mainly for iPhones)
  • added email alerting for motion alerts and connection alerts with a specifiable cool down period and scheduling
  • added private live views and global live views
  • Revised UI with performance and visual improvements
  • fixed performance issues when searching through large amounts of recordings
  • fixed support for RTSP authenticated cameras

  • Ubuntu 11.10 oneiric repository support

And it looks like a future version will have the motion detection function performed in the camera.

This NVR version will not have the ability to take advantage of on-camera motion detection, but we're working to get that added in an  upcoming version soon. Once that's implemented, it will reduce the CPU load of the NVR quite a bit.

Dragster

  When is a Bullet a Jet ?
  The 489 kph Bullet.

OK Team ... Check out this Youtube video:

Bullet-powered Jet

  • Mounted on the Dragster: BulletM5 with small 5 dBi whip antenna, Station Mode.
  • Mounted somewhere else permanently: AM-5G19-120, with RocketM5, as AP

All video from on-board webcam came through the Bullet/Rocket link.
Look at the 'on-board' video from 2:28 onwards.

Plus: The video from 0:38 onwards was taken from trackside. If you look you can see a guy in a yellow jacket with a camera. That camera was connected to another RocketM5 (in Station mode). It has two small 5 dBi whip antennas. It communicated with the RocketM5/AM-5G19-120 AP.

Thanks to Matt at the Perth Motorplex for this story.
