mFi
Ubiquiti Machine-to-Machine Communications
Ubiquiti has announced a whole new product range called mFi.
- There is a range of IP-connected sensors for things like Temperature, Current, Motion, and doors.
- There are IP-connected RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial ports
- There are controllable (and measurable) AC power ports (that at the present are not suitable for Australia)
- There is a free controller application to tie these together.
- And the devices are all linked via ethernet and/or WiFi.
More devices are planned for future release as the product range evolves - more sensors, thermostats, and power control.
We are looking at getting more information on when they will have power control devices (mPower) that is suitable for the Australian market?
